Terms of Service

Welcome to PDFHaul ("Service"), operated by Bultech ("we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "you") and Bultech. By creating an account or using PDFHaul, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service immediately.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using PDFHaul, you confirm that:

• You have read and understood these Terms
• You are at least 13 years old
• If under 18, you have parental or guardian consent
• You have the authority to enter into this agreement

2. Description of Service

PDFHaul provides automated PDF processing tools, including but not limited to:

• Merging, splitting, compressing, rotating, reordering
• PDF ↔ image conversion
• Password protection
• Thumbnail generation
• OCR and AI-driven processing (current or future features)

All processing is automated. We do not manually review uploaded files except as described in Section 6.

3. Account Registration (Required for All Users)

All users must create an account to use PDFHaul. By registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and up-to-date information
• Maintain the confidentiality of your password
• Accept responsibility for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of unauthorized access

We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree NOT to use PDFHaul to:

• Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Upload illegal, abusive, or offensive content
• Upload confidential, highly sensitive, or regulated documents (see Section 10)
• Violate any laws or third-party rights
• Attempt to bypass security or access unauthorized systems
• Use automated tools or scraping without permission
• Interfere with platform performance
• Upload copyrighted content without authorization

5. Usage Limits

Free Tier

• Max file size: 50MB
• Standard queue
• Automatic deletion

Pro / Premium Tiers

• Higher file size limits
• Priority queue
• Bulk tools
• Retention features may be introduced in the future and will be governed by separate terms
• Additional features as published

Usage limits may change with reasonable notice.

6. File Handling & Retention

6.1 Automated File Deletion (2-Hour Best-Effort)

• All uploaded and processed files are designed to be automatically deleted from our active systems within approximately 2 hours.
• Deletion is performed by automated jobs running at regular intervals.

6.2 Cloud Infrastructure Retention

Although files are deleted from our active storage, our reliable cloud provider may retain low-level storage remnants (e.g., redundant blocks, backups, object lifecycle buffers) for up to 24 hours, in accordance with their minimum retention mechanics.

This does not give anyone access to your files, but deletion is not instantaneous at the hardware level.

6.3 No Manual Access

We do not manually view, open, or analyze user files except:

• As required by law
• To investigate security threats (malware, abuse)
• To diagnose major system failures

6.4 You Must Maintain Backups

You are responsible for backing up important documents. PDFHaul does not permanently store files.

7. Intellectual Property

Your Files

You retain full ownership of the files you upload. You grant us a temporary, limited license to store and process your files solely to provide the Service.

This license ends when your files are deleted from our active systems.

Our Platform

All software, branding, design, functionality, and IP assets belong to Bultech.

8. Payments & Subscriptions

For paid subscriptions:

• Payment is due immediately
• Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled
• Cancellations take effect at the end of current billing cycle
• Refunds are discretionary
• Price changes will be announced at least 30 days before taking effect

We never store credit card information.

9. Automated Processing & AI/OCR Disclaimer

All output—compressed PDFs, merged files, extracted text, OCR results, thumbnail images, or AI-generated results—is provided "as is". We do not guarantee:

• Accuracy
• Completeness
• Suitability for legal or official use
• Preservation of formatting
• Error-free results

You must verify output accuracy before using it.

10. Sensitive Document Warning

You upload such files at your own risk. Bultech is not responsible for losses or claims involving sensitive documents.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Perfect security
• No data loss
• Exact deletion timing
• Zero downtime
• Accuracy of processed output

You use the Service at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bultech is not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, revenue, business, or profits
• Unauthorized access to files
• Output inaccuracies
• Delays or failures in deletion
• Technical issues beyond our control

13. Founder & Individual Liability Shield

You agree that:

• No founder, developer, officer, or individual associated with Bultech shall be personally liable for any claim arising out of your use of PDFHaul.
• All claims must be directed exclusively to Bultech (its operating name or its future incorporated entity).

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bultech from claims arising from:

• Your files
• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of third-party rights

15. No Duty to Monitor

We do not monitor or pre-screen files. You are solely responsible for the content you upload.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account:

• For violating these Terms
• For illegal activity
• For non-payment
• To protect security
• At our discretion with notice

Upon termination, all access ceases and files are deleted according to Section 6.

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Changes will be communicated by:

• Updating this page
• Updating the "Last updated" date
• Email notifications for major changes

Continued use = acceptance.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflicts of law.

19. Dispute Resolution

Disputes must follow:

• Good-faith negotiation
• Mediation
• Binding arbitration in Ontario

Court litigation is not permitted except to enforce arbitration decisions.

20. No Class Actions

You waive the right to participate in class actions or representative lawsuits. All disputes must be brought individually.

21. Claim Limitation Period

Any claim must be filed within six (6) months of the event. After this period, claims are permanently barred.
